Deco design: play on words!

For some time you may have noticed the appearance of a new “deco design” concept, in order to have clarification on the topic I asked several people in decoration and design to give me their design deco vision. We start therefore with Sandrine of Homology a resolutely deco design ecommerce site that also has a decology blog!
While at the end of the 20th century, Design and Contemporary Art were so linked that Design would never without Art, the transition to the 21st century dropped the word ART into disuse to marry DESIGN the four letters today slamming under all languages: DECO.
Since January 2007, not a cover of the IDEAT magazine without words Deco Design. The cult AD, for Architecture, Decoration, Arts, Design, systematically inserts into his covers these four letters light and scathing: deco. Note that prior to mid-2007, the Decoration word “whole” was part naturally in all its titles. Summer 2007, is Design@Home, Deco and trend, that title on the “7 sins of the decor.
Chicissimes in their form, trend in their content and Neo-bourgeois in their readership, these 3 Deco Design magazines give rise to this lexical mode, that of the word Design, was at the end of the last century, is passed, changing century Deco Design expression.
There is extremely to bet that armies of consultants-sociologists have fostered the trend by explaining to makers of the small world of decoration or design, that speech too often Eggheads in the Design would be more easily popularized by the addition of the word Deco, democratic and accessible.
For the segment ‘chic and trendy’ press Deco, pardon, media design, uh, the Deco-Design, it was time to jump on the bandwagon all Deco since even its reader is put without complex, each zapping to an Ikea in Habitat eventually breaking his bank for a small piece of a great designer of the 20th century or a large piece of furniture of creator of the 21stIdeally desired for long weeks, found on the internet in less than 2 minutes and shipped in 48 h chrono.
Design, sleek and minimalist, was the hallmark of the bourgeois connected by the end of the 20th century, the Deco Design, warm and creative, is the trend of the beginning of the 21st century… This makes that start, trendy, prone to decoration, having more than to mouth and under their pen these ten distinctive letters that assemble to form the Deco Design.

Thank you Sandrine
